Technical detail
The Interim Guidelines, issued by the Department of Innovation and Technology on behalf of Mayor Michelle Wu, allow city employees to use approved GenAI tools for drafting and analysis with fact-checking, require disclosure when GenAI is used in public documents, prohibit input of personal data or protected information, and require pilot proposals to be filed with DoIT.
