Alhambra voters will decide on Nov. 3, 2026 whether to add a permanent data center ban to the city charter. Measure DB says 'Data Centers are prohibited in all zones of the City.' The City Council put it on the ballot at a July 14 special meeting. The council had already banned new data centers through a zoning code update. The charter amendment would lock that ban in, so a future council could not undo it alone.
