RESCINDED SEPTEMBER 18, 2026 by Executive Order 22 (2026) — see va-eo-22-2026-dc-accountability-ai-task-force. The instrument is no longer in force, but the guidance it produced is: EO 22's rescission clause preserves the policies, standards and guidelines published under EO 30 until they are replaced. Historically: Governor Youngkin's EO 30 directed the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) to issue AI policy and IT standards for state agencies, develop K-12 and higher-ed AI education guidelines, set law-enforcement AI standards, and create a Virginia AI Task Force. Spanberger's EO 22 replaces the task force with a new rapid-response AI Task Force under different leadership.
