It requires employers to disclose AI used in employment decisions, mandates disclosure when layoffs relate to AI, imposes some of the nation's strictest AI companion-chatbot rules (especially for children), and codifies that automated decision-making is no defense to discrimination claims. Most provisions start October 1, 2026.
